We hired Malcolm to do our restaurant tenant development from scratch. He did a wide range of jobs, from concrete, framing, drywalls, to painting, carpentry, etc. This guy is a kind of perfectionist. You don’t need to keep your eyes on him all the time. You can just tell him what you want, and show him a picture if you cannot describe what you want exactly, He can deliver that. I took many pictures of his work. If you would like to see, I am glad to show you. Those frames he did were very beautiful. He aligned every line and made every corner and connection tight. Also, he always thinks in our shoes to help you save money. He gave us lots of good suggestions and took advantage of some wasted materials. We worked with him for about three months, and witnessed that he built the restaurant up. If there is one thing I would complain, I would say that he probably have higher standards than people who hired him. So, if you want to assist him in his work, make sure that you can do as good as he does. Or ask him how you can do that better, he is willing to show you the way.

The biggest problem we have with contractors in this area is their lack of responsiveness. HC was quick to get back with me and was onsite when he said he would be. Rates are good, quality of work is great, he is on his third job for me.

Malcolm was on time, did exactly what I needed, even did some extra gate repair that I hadn’t noticed and cleaned up everything before leaving. Rate was more than reasonable since it was over 90 degrees outside!

I don’t often do reviews, much less give 5 stars, but Malcolm deserves each of those 5 stars! What a great professional to work with! Not only did he do a WONDERFUL job with our deck and balcony, but he was very professional. He kept good communication with us, his prices are fair, and made us feel super comfortable to ask any and ALL the questions. I wish I could hire him for everything in my house. A hard and dedicated professional.

EXCEPTIONAL! I don’t often give 5-star reviews. If service or quality is just what you expect, that’s average, not 5-star. That is not the case with Malcom. At Harris Construction provided me with EXCEPTIONAL service and quality. We were so pleased! He is responsive (which we found to be rare when at the bid stage), he provides fair pricing, and the work quality was fantastic. Malcom went above-and-beyond my expectations. And that says a lot coming from me. I’m beyond a perfectionist. I would highly recommend to anyone!

Working with Malcom was great. He didn’t say no to anything and didn’t make me or my wife feel like any question we asked was dumb or invalid. He was easy and fun to talk to and it was amazing to watch him work. He made it look so easy and fast and in the end we had a beautiful strong and stable deck. I would call Malcolm again in a heart beat. I have already told my neighbors if they need decks or anything else he is the man to call. I would trust him to do a lot more than decks. You can tell he has experience and knowledge and can do just about anything.

Malcolm just completed a patio cover of rustic design for us. We can not say enough good about the job he did for us, we will be at the top of our list of recommendations for any around the home project.
